DD's Dad Called / Said SORRY

Nearly in tears, DD’s dad called to say sorry for what he’s been saying to me and that he’s a mess.  He told me he can’t stop using, has a job he may be starting soon for KB Homes, installing windows. The guys he’s going to work with I know from the Program….they are clean and sober.  He said he’s defeated and doesn’t feel like a man. I kept suggesting a program but he was more concerned about this job he’s to start so he can pay child support.

I listened…but didn’t have much to say other than to go to a program!  He did say that what he’s been saying to me is wrong and for that he was sorry.  I didn’t really say much…I just tried to listen!
